PETALING JAYA: Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) closed in on yet another Super League title with a 4-0 win over Kuala Lumpur, but coach Xisco Munoz insists the title race is far from over.

Fresh from their FA Cup triumph on Sunday, JDT maintained their excellent league form with goals from Cristian Glauder, Manuel Hidalgo, Jairo Da Silva and Oscar Arribas ending Kuala Lumpur’s unbeaten run this season.

JDT now sit atop the league with 33 points after 11 matches - almost the halfway mark - and are 10 clear of second-placed Kuala Lumpur, with a game in hand.

Despite the gap, Munoz says the title race is not over and urged his players to stay focused.

"We are building a young team. I have only been here for five or six months, so we still have room to improve.

"Nothing is easy, especially with a busy schedule, playing every three or four days, with a lot of travel but we continue with the same energy and ambition," said Munoz.

For the 2025/2026 season, JDT have already added two trophies to their cabinet, including the Charity Shield after defeating Selangor.

If they go on to win the Super League this season, it would be their third title of the campaign and mark another milestone, successfully defending the Super League crown for the 12th consecutive year since their first triumph in 2014.

JDT will next host Kelantan at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium tomorrow as they continue their Super League campaign.
