PETALING JAYA: Chrigor Moraes scored a hattrick as Selangor ran riot against Penang in a Super League clash at City Stadium, George Town on Sunday (Dec 7).

Floodlight issues halted the match twice, but the interruptions did little to slow the visitors’ momentum. Selangor took the lead through Faisal Halim in the 26th minute, before Picha Autra and Chrigor extended the advantage to 3-0 at half-time. Tchetche Kipre pulled one back for Penang just before the break.

Chrigor completed his hattrick in the second half with goals in the 64th and 75th minutes, and Selangor cruised to a 5-1 victory.

Meanwhile, Brunei finally secured their first win of the season by defeating Immigration 4-2 at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Bandar Seri Begawan.

Azwan Ali opened the scoring, with Hakeme Yazid adding two more and Miguel Oliveira also on target to give the hosts a goal fest and their first three points after 10 matches.

Immigration consolation goals came from a brace by Wilmar Jordan Gil.
