Kuala Lumpur back to second in the Super League


PETALING JAYA: Kuala Lumpur climbed back into second place in the Super League after a commanding 3–0 victory over Melaka at the Hang Jebat Stadium on Sunday (Nov 30).

Spanish midfielder Victor Ruiz opened the scoring as early as the seventh minute, pouncing on a loose save from Melaka goalkeeper Haziq Aiman Esa after an initial effort by Safawi Rasid.

Nine minutes later, the City Boys doubled their lead when Liberian striker Kpah Sherman confidently converted from the penalty spot.

Kuala Lumpur capped off the win in the 68th minute, with midfielder Ryan Lambert smashing home a pass from rightback Kamal Azizi Zabri to make it 3–0.

Kuala Lumpur have 23 points from nine matches, while Melaka are still hunting for their first win and remains bottom of the league with just three points from eight games.
