Soccer-O'Reilly replaces injured James in England squad

(Reuters) -Chelsea defender Reece James has withdrawn from the England squad due to injury and been replaced by Manchester City midfielder Nico O'Reilly who received his first senior international call-up.

James suffered the injury in Chelsea's 2-1 Premier League win over Liverpool on Saturday.

The 20-year-old O'Reilly, who has been capped at junior levels, joined Thomas Tuchel's squad for a friendly against Wales on Thursday at Wembley, and a World Cup qualifier against Latvia in Riga on October 14.
