PETALING JAYA: Malaysia will get an early taste of World Cup action right at home when Uzbekistan take on two-time world champions Uruguay in a friendly game at the Hang Jebat Stadium in Melaka on Oct 13.

Uzbekistan will make history as the first Central Asian nation to compete in the World Cup, scheduled from June 11-July 19 next year.
