Subway Maxim Cup Series adds bite to community football

PETALING JAYA: The newly rebranded Subway Maxim Cup Series are expected to bring fresh energy and more visibility to grassroots football in Malaysia.

Malaysia's leading youth football tournament organiser Maxim Events and Subway Malaysia,

one of the world's most recognisable quick-service restaurant brands, have teamed up to organise the

2025 season, with activations already launched at events in Penang, Langkawi and Johor.

It will be the turn of Langkawi and Kuala Lumpur to play host toward the end of the year.

With over 11,000 players and nearly 30,000 supporters expected across the

seven-tournament calendar, the Subway Maxim Cup has become one of South-east Asia's

most dynamic platforms for youth development, competition, and community connection.

"We are delighted to welcome Subway as our title sponsor," said Will Kucia, director of Maxim

Events.

"This partnership will enhance the tournament experience for everyone involved –

players, parents, coaches, and partners – and will strengthen its reputation as one of

South-east Asia’s premier youth football tournaments."

As part of this shared commitment, Subway is sponsoring a grassroots team from an

under-served community - Pandan Damai Soccer Kids FC (PDSK) from Kuantan.

Founded in 2015, PDSK began as a community-led initiative to keep youth away

from harmful activities and has since grown into a respected feeder club for top-tier programs,

including JDT, Selangor and the Mokhtar Dahari Academy.
