PETALING JAYA: FIFA has dispelled rumours that they will be shifting their regional office to Jakarta.
The world footballing body said their headquarters in KL Eco City continues to operate as normal.
According to a source close to FIFA, there are no plans to move the regional office to Indonesia.
Its office here has been the heart of FIFA's development operations in Asia and Oceania since 2018.
For the record, the FIFA office in Kuala Lumpur is part of the 'FIFA Forward Programme' initiative and is currently led by its Asia-Oceania region director Sanjeevan Balasingam.
It plays a crucial role in supporting regional football development, including technical development, infrastructure, contract management, grassroots programs and monitoring of FIFA-funded projects.
