PETALING JAYA: Captain Luciano Guaycochea has urged Perak's management to pay up players' salaries owed to them.

He said it was only right if Perak keep to their word and fulfill their financial obligations.

The Argentine midfielder is disheartened by what he perceived as a lack of respect from the club’s leadership, particularly in light of the commitment the players had shown to help secure a respectable finish in the league.

Despite not receiving their wages for several months, the players stayed united and comitted to finish seventh in the league.

Currently back in Argentina, the 32-year-old, who is related to Liverpool and Argentina star Alexis Mac Allister, took to social media to express his discontent.

"As captain of Perak, I must voice out my disappointment regarding the treatment my teammates and I have endured. We showed dedication to the club and deserved to have all outstanding debts settled," he stated on his Instagram account.

But Guaycochea offered heartfelt gratitude to the state and devoted fans after announcing his departure from the club.
