Malaysia drops to 133 in Fifa ranking


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysins football team's slide down the world ranking continues, down one spot to 133rd after losing to New Zealand in a friendly match on Oct 14.

This follows Fifa's latest world ranking released on Thursday (Oct 24).

The two top Asian countries, placed way ahead of others, are world No. 15 Japan and South Korea (22).

Indonesia are in 30th spot while India are in 125th.

Harimau Malaya were at the 130th spot earlier this year are trickling down in standings after the departure of head coach Kim Pang-gon of South Korea.

Harimau Malaya's highest world ranking was 75th, achieved in 1993, and their lowest was No.178 in 2018.
