PETALING JAYA: Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) are surprised with the content of an email that has been circulating regarding several allegations of mismanagement in the national body on Sunday.

FAM executive committee member Christopher Raj said they were caught off guard.

The email has surfaced on the eve of FAM's Congress on Monday.

"The allegations stated in the email are new to us. We are caught off guard by most of the things mentioned in it," said Christopher.

"I will leave it to the discretion of the president and secretary-general to answer these allegations, as they are the highest executives in the body."

The FAM president is Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin, who is also the chef de mission for the Paris Olympic Games, while the secretary-general is Datuk Noor Azman Rahman.

The email, signed by UltrasFAM, has also been circulated to several people, including Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh.

The email comes a day after speculations broke that national head coach Kim Pan-gon and his team of coaches may part ways with FAM following their defeats to Oman in the World Cup 2026-Asian Cup 2027 second-round qualifiers recently.

Pan-gon had immediately refuted the claims by stating that he would stick with the team and honour his contract that runs until end of 2025.
