Sabah downs Hougang 3-1 in AFC Cup tie


National striker Darren Lok struck twice in Sabah's win against Singapore club Hougang United in the AFC Cup.

PETALING JAYA: Sabah have opened their AFC Cup account with a win by beating Singaporean club Hougang United in the Group H encounter at the Likas Stadium in Kota Kinabalu.

National striker Darren Lok scored two goals in the 36th and 63rd minute, while Brazilian centreback Gabriel Peres scored the first goal in the fifth minute.

Japanese midfielder Kazuma Takayama scored Hougang’s lone goal in the 61st minute.
