SEA Games: Malaysia football team thrash Singapore 7-0 in final Group B match


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia ended their SEA Games football campaign on a winning note after thrashing Singapore 7-0 in their final Group B match at the Visakha Stadium in Phnom Penh on Thursday (May 11).

The side led by E. Elavarasan were imperious from start to finish, with winger T. Saravanan impressing, scoring four goals in the 14th, 47th, 53rd and 60th minute.

Striker Haqimi Azim Rosli scored the fifth in the 45th minute.

Captain and midfielder Mukhairi Ajmal Mahadi scored the sixth goal in the 87th minute, and Aiman Afif Mohd Afizul scored the last goal in the 90th minute.

Malaysia ended their group campaign in third with six points.
