Soccer-Veteran Hasebe extends Eintracht deal at 39 for one more year

BERLIN (Reuters) - Eintracht Frankfurt defender Makoto Hasebe has extended his playing contract with the Bundesliga side at the age of 39 for another year to 2024, the club said on Tuesday.

The former Japan captain, who has been at Frankfurt for nine years, has enjoyed considerable success in the past few seasons, having won the Europa League title last year and the German Cup in 2018.
