AFC Cup: KL book knockout stage spot

KUALA LUMPUR: The City Boys have booked a spot in the knockout stages of the AFC Cup.

Kuala Lumpur beat Tampines Rovers 2-1 in their last Group H game at the Cheras Football Stadium here on Thursday (June 30).

Paulo Josue was the toast with two beauties in the 16th and 21st minute.

Boris Kopitovic scored Tampines’ goal in the 37th minute.

Kuala Lumpur qualified as the best runners-up in the Asean stage, collecting four points from two games.
