PETALING JAYA: The Harimau Malaya received some bad news ahead of their crucial game against Vietnam after it was learned that national coach Tan Cheng Hoe’s father had passed away.

Tan Chooi Siak died at the age of 95 at his residence in Taman Pelangi, Alor Setar today.

Today's game is a do-or-die mission for the Harimau Malaya as they need a win to keep their hopes of qualifying for the Asian Cup and the World Cup third round qualifiers alive.
