Super League: All-local PJ City holds Perak in Ipoh

PETALING JAYA: A precious point, and proving a point that an all-local Petaling Jaya City can mix it with the big boys in a Super League encounter.

P. Maniam’s side held Perak to a 0-0 draw at the Perak Stadium on Sunday (March 7), and they have to thank goalkeeper Kalamullah Al-Hafiz for playing an essential role in the game.

Especially in the second half, Kalamullah pulled off numerous saves as Perak, who have three foreigners, dominated the game from start to finish but wished they were more clinical upfront.

Perak were hard done by in the 88th minute when PJ City’s Raffi Nagoorgani handled the ball in the penalty box, but match referee Razlan Joffri Ali said it wasn't a penalty and waved away the vehement protest from the Perak players.
