PETALING JAYA: Two contrasting players have shaped the career of Sabah’s combative midfielder Azzizan Nordin.

Malaysian international veteran centreback Mohd Shukor Adan taught Azzizan about leadership but it was former Liverpool, Glasgow Rangers and Bolton striker El-Hadji Diouf who made a lasting impression.
