MFL investigate alleged brawl between JBFA and ref


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Football League (MFL) will investigate a brawl between Johor Baru FA (JBFA) and a referee. 

MFL have received a report of the incident which happened after the M3 League (Division 3) match between JBFA and Kelantan United in Kulai, Johor last Saturday. 

The match ended with a 3-3 draw. 

The match referee Hasman Hisham Asngari and his assistants were allegedly attacked by JBFA players and officials after the match. 

MFL in a statement said they have instructed JBFA to give their statement and have also asked for detailed reports from the match coordinator, referee and Kelantan United. 

"MFL take the misconduct of any players and officials seriously. The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) will take disciplinary action if any parties are found guilty. MFL, as the league organisers have the authority to take action too.

If the team are found guilty, they can be declared losers of the match with a 0-3 score and docked three points. There is also an option of serving a ban over players, officials and team.
