Malaysia share points with tiny Timor Leste

PETALING JAYA: Winger Akhyar Rashid saved Malaysia the blushes by scoring the equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Timor Leste in their penultimate Group B clash of the AFF Under-19 championship.

Timor Leste stunned the Malaysians through Mouzinho De Lima’s strike in the 14th minute but Akhyar netted from close range in the 30th minute at the Gelora Joko Samudro Stadium in Gresik, Indonesia yesterday.
