BOGOTA (Reuters) - When Yerry Mina, Colombia's top scorer at the World Cup in Russia, was a chubby, shy child in the small sugar-growing town of Guachene, he dreamed not of scoring goals but of saving them.

The eager soccer student first tried his hand at goalkeeper, wanting to follow in the footsteps of his father and uncle, who had played the position professionally.
