Our women’s team start on back foot

MALAYSIA lost 2-1 in their opening game to the Philippines in the women’s football competition at the UiTM Stadium in Shah Alam.

Yesterday, the Filipinos led through Patrice Impelido’s goal in the 44th minute before Malaysia drew level through Dadree Rofinus in the 54th minute. But Kathleen Camille Rodriguez ensured all three points for the Philippines with the winning goal in the 74th minute.
