Malaysia hold Laos to book spot in U-16 Finals


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia booked their berth in next year’s AFC Under-16 Championship Finals in India after holding hosts Laos to a 1-1 draw in their final Group G qualifying match.

Malaysia, who needed just a draw to qualify for the Finals, were made to sweat before substitute striker Azrin Azahari struck the equaliser in the 48th minute at the National Sports Complex Stadium in Vientiane on Sunday.
