Asiad: History not on Malaysia’s side against South Korea


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia have beaten South Korea only once in the history of the Asian Games football competition since 1962.

Malaysia have met South Korea four times in the Asiad and their only victory came in the 1974 Games in Tehran. Malaysia defeated South Korea 3-2 in the second round en route to the bronze medal. Harun Jusoh scored a brace while Ali Bakar netted the other.
