SEA Games: Diver Dhabitah bags first gold medal for Malaysia


PETALING JAYA: Divers Nur Dhabitah Sabri and Kimberly Bong gave the national contingent a flying start at the Vietnam SEA Games when they secured a 1-2 finish in the women's 1m springboard event on Sunday (May 8).

Dhabitah chalked up 290.45 points over five dives at the My Dinh Aquatic Centre in Hanoi.

Kimberly came in a distant second on 230 points while Vietnam's Ngo Phuong Mai claimed the bronze with 224 points.

Being the national contingent flagbearer, Dhabitah certainly led by example and deservingly earned the honour to be the first gold medallist of the Hanoi Games.
