AZIZULHASNI Awang continued to defy the odds as he became the oldest cyclist to win a medal in Asian Games history with a bronze in the men’s sprint event.

The 38-year-old Pocket Rocketman relied on his experience to defeat Thailand’s former Asian Games keirin champion Jai Angsuthasawit 2-0 in the third-place playoff at the Izu Velodrome in Shizuoka yesterday.
