Another track gold as Ridwan, Fadhil and Akmal ride to team sprint success

BANGKOK: The scratch combination of Mohd Ridwan Sahrom, Mohd Fadhil Zonis and Akmal Nazimi Jusena powered past Thailand to win the men’s team sprint title. 

The trio clocked 1:00.520s in the final to secure the fourth gold for Malaysia at Huamak Velodrome on Friday (Dec 19)

The hosts posted 1:00.700s to settle for silver.

Malaysia stamped their mark in track cycling with four gold and one silver.

The silver came from Lau New Joe in men’s points race earlier.
