Silver lining behind last-minute scramble for cyclist Aisyah

BANGKOK: What began with a last-minute scramble to change hotel accommodation ended in smiles for the Malaysian road cycling camp as Paris Olympian Nur Aisyah Zubir (pic) rode to a silver medal in the women’s criterium event in Khao Yai yesterday.

The race, which ended in a bunch sprint, saw Aisyah finish second behind Thailand’s Jutatip Maneephan, with Vietnam’s Nguyen Thi That completing the podium.
