NILAI: Nurul Izzah Izzati Mohd Asri gained a timely confidence booster ahead of the Asian Track Cycling Championships next month after she overcame Korean hurdles to win the women’s elite keirin sprint gold medal in the Asean Track Series I at the National Velodrome in Nilai yesterday.

The 21-year-old, however, had to go the distance to claim the only gold for Malaysia in the elite ranks of the UCI Class 1 competition.
