Fadhil fulfils dream to send mum for umrah

PETALING JAYA: The year has been kind to national track cyclist Fadhil Zonis as he is finally able to send his mother for umrah pilgrimage in Mecca.

“It has always been a wish of mine to send my parents for umrah. I first thought about this during the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur and I was determined to win medals so that I can use the incentive money to pay for their trip,” said the 24-year-old who bagged two golds at the Games – the 1km time trial and team sprint with Mohd Shariz Efendi Shahrin dan Mohd Khairil Nizam Rasol.
