Cricket-S Africa beat India by 30 runs in opening test


KOLKATA, India (Reuters) -South Africa beat India by 30 runs in the opening test at Eden Gardens to go 1-0 up in the two-match series on Sunday.

Chasing 124 for victory, India folded for 93 with Washington Sundar (31) topscoring for them.

Simon Harmer (4-21) was the pick of the South Africa bowlers.

The second and final test is scheduled in Guwahati from November 22.
