Para kegler Abg Yahya strikes gold at world meet


KUALA LUMPUR: National para keglers continued their winning momentum at the 2025 International Bowling Federation (IBF) Para Bowling World Championships by bagging a gold medal yesterday. Abg Yahya Abg Azhar gave a scintillating performance to strike gold in the TPB4 (intellectual impairment) men’s singles event held at the Kai Tak Sports Park Bowling Centre in Kowloon, Hong Kong.

The 26-year-old Sarawakian scored a five-game total of 1,435 points for the victory, while South Korean Yun Seung-sang (1,380 points) and Kallan Strong of Australia (1,359 points) claimed the silver and bronze respectively.
