PETALING JAYA: It's raining gold for Malaysia at the Asian Tenpin Bowling Championships (ATBC) in Kuwait.

Just a day after Shalin Zulkifli delivered the women's singles gold, Timmy Tan made it two victories on the trot for Malaysia when he successfully defended the men's singles crown on Wednesday (Oct 23).

And the 25-year-old did it in style by closing with a perfect game for a six-game total of 1,556 pinfalls to finish 34 pins ahead of India's Dhruv Sarda.

Shusaku Asato of Japan took the bronze with a 1,522.

Hafiz Zainuddin missed out on the bronze by just 10 pins.

He was Malaysia's second-best performer in the 152-man contest, finishing fourth after registering 1,512 pinfalls.
