PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Basketball Association (MABA) have rewarded members of the national women’s team that won back-to-back SEA Games gold medals in 2015 and 2017 with condominium units worth RM300,000 each in Cheras.
MABA president Datuk Seri Lee Tian Hock presented the units to 16 players and coaches from the triumphant squads in recognition of their achievements.
Three long-serving MABA staff members were also rewarded with units for their contributions to the association.
The recipients were given units at LEVIA Residence in Cheras, with an additional RM30,000 allocated for renovation.
In total, the 19 units are valued at more than RM6mil.
Tian Hock also pledged that condominium units will continue to be offered as incentives if the national team win gold at the 2027 SEA Games in Malaysia.
At the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand, Malaysia finished fourth in both the men’s and women’s events.
