PETALING JAYA: It was supposed to be a day of celebration for the national wheelchair basketball 3x3 team after delivering the country’s first medal in the Asean Para Games, but they were left to rue after settling for a bronze.
The team comprising Freday Tan Yei Bing, Karthik Kana Pathy, Mohd Atib Zakaria, Mohd Azzwar Hassan Asaari and Razali Cantik clinched the bronze after defeating the hosts 17-8 in the bronze medal match at the Morodok Techno National Stadium in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, yesterday.
