PETALING JAYA: It is over for women doubles shuttlers Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah in the World Championships.

Pearly-Thinaah, who reached the final at the last edition, went down fighting 22-20, 18-21, 12-21 to Febriana Dwipuji-Meilysa Trias of Indonesia in a 74-minute third round match at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi on Thursday (Aug 20).

It was a sweet revenge for the Indonesians, having lost to the Malaysians in the quarter-finals of the All-England in March this year.

The challenge has also ended for Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai Jemie after they lost 15-21, 12-21 to Cheng Xing-Zhang Chi of China in the mixed doubles third round.

Earlier, Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani did well to check into the quarter-finals after disposing of Chiu Hsian-chieh-Wang Chi-lim of Taiwan 21-17, 21-17 in the third round.
