“BAM confirmd that national women’s doubles player Chong Jie Yu, 21, has been nominated to replace Pearly Tan in the national squad for the Uber Cup 2026," said the national body.

"Jie Yu will join the team’s training camp in Herning, Denmark as preparations continue for the upcoming tournament,” BAM said in a statement.

Previously, Rexy confirmed that Malaysia would proceed with only nine players for the Uber Cup after Pearly, who forms the world No. 2 partnership with M. Thinaah, was forced to withdraw at the last minute due to a back injury.
