Experienced Aaron and Thinaah named team captains

PETALING JAYA: Doubles shuttlers Aaron Chia and M. Thinaah have been named captains of the men’s and women’s teams respectively.

Aaron, who forms the world No. 2 partnership with Soh Wooi Yik, aims to provide strong leadership at the Thomas Cup Finals in Horsens, Denmark, from April 24-May 3.

The 29-year-old Aaron brings vast experience, along with the charisma and leadership qualities needed to keep the team united.

For the Uber Cup Finals, the 28-year-old Thinaah has been entrusted with the captaincy for the first time.

She will be without her partner Pearly Tan, who is down with a back injury, but is expected to be a steady role model for the youngsters and debutants in the women’s team.
