Aaron-Wooi Yik outlast Wei Chong-Kai Wun to reach All-England semis

PETALING JAYA: Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik showed their class to reach the semi-finals of the All-England after defeating compatriots Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun in an all-Malaysian quarter-final on Friday (March 6).

The match at the Utilita Arena Birmingham had already guaranteed Malaysia a place in the semi-finals regardless of the outcome.

However, both pairs still produced an intense battle that had to be decided in the rubber game, with Aaron-Wooi Yik prevailing 21-16, 20-22, 21-14 in 61 minutes.

Awaiting Aaron-Wooi Yik in the semi-finals are China’s Chen Boyang-Liu Yi.
