BUKIT JALIL: Men’s doubles pair Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun were left disappointed once again after losing again to world No. 1 and Malaysian Open defending champions Kim Won-ho-Seo Seung-jae of South Korea in the quarter-finals on Friday (Jan 9).

Wei Chong-Kai Wun started brightly and took the early lead in the opening game, but the South Korean pair soon found their rhythm and overturned the advantage.

The same script unfolded in the second game, and Wei Chong-Kai Wun eventually went down 17-21, 14-21 after 40 minutes.

Wei Chong-Kai Wun gave a good fight but the Koreans were always one step better, and navigated through the fast-paced game calmly.

It marked the Malaysians' sixth consecutive loss to Won-ho and Seung-jae since their first meeting at the Orleans Masters in March last year.
