PETALING JAYA: Former Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) singles coach Wong Tat Meng is fighting for his life after a serious motorcycle accident in Sydney on Sunday (Sept 7).
According to media reports, two motorcycles collided and one of the motorcyclists died at the scene on Putty Road in the Garland Valley region.
A second rider, a 58-year-old man, was treated by New South Wales ambulance paramedics at the site of the crash before he was sent to hospital and is in critical condition.
Tat Meng guided independent men's singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia to bronze in the Paris Olympics last August before leaving his position and relocating to Sydney to become a club coach.
