PETALING JAYA: Men's singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia does not want to put undue pressure on himself when he returns to competitive action after five months in the World Championships.

Zii Jia, who has struggled with an ankle injury this year and last played in the All-England in March, will make his long awaited return in the world meet which starts on Monday (Aug 25) in Paris.

"It's been a while and the World Championships will be my first tournament back after an extended break," said Zii Jia via Team LZJ's Instagram page.

"I'm not putting much pressure on myself. I'll just try to enjoy being back on the competitive court and most importantly complete the campaign in Paris injury-free."

All eyes will be on Zii Jia when he opens his campaign against South Korea's Jeon Hyeok-jin in the first round.
