Women’s shuttler Ling Ching secures bronze in Universiade

PETALING JAYA: Women’s singles shuttler Wong Ling Ching saved the blushes for the Malaysian badminton camp in the World University Games by clinching the country’s sole medal in the sport.

Ling Ching, who was the only shuttler to reach the semi-finals, won bronze after going down fighting to Thailand’s Tidapron Kleebyeesun 16-14, 5-15, 13-15 Rhine-Ruhr, Germany, on Friday.
