PETALING JAYA: Men's doubles shuttlers Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun pulled off a sensational victory over home favourites and world No. 4 Fajar Alfian-Rian Ardianto to capture the Indonesian Masters title.

Wei Chong-Kai Wun played brilliantly to come away with a 21-11, 21-19 win in 38 minutes in the final at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta on Sunday (Jan 26).

It was the world No. 13 pair's first win over Fajar-Rian after losing four times to the Indonesians.

They are the first men's doubles pair to win at the Indonesian Masters since the tournament's inception in 2010. They are also the second Malaysian men's pair to win at Istora after 17 years following the feat of Mohd Zakry Latif-Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari, who won at the 2008 Indonesian Open at the same venue.

Wei Chong-Kai Wun have bagged their biggest title in their careers so far in the World Tour Super 500 event and their first crown since coming out on top in the 2023 Taiwan Open (Super 300).
