Sze Fei-Izzuddin finish runners-up in World Tour Finals

PETALING JAYA: Men's doubles shuttlers Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani's hopes of ending Malaysia's eight-year wait for the World Tour Finals title were dashed after they went down to Denmark's Kim Astrup-Anders Skaarup Rasmussen in the final.

World No. 7 Sze Fei-Izzuddin fought hard before losing 17-21, 21-17, 11-21 in 65 minutes to the world No. 3 Danes in Hangzhou on Sunday (Dec 15).

It was still a commendable showing from the independent pair in their debut Finals.

Sze Fei-Izzuddin will take home US$ 100,000 (RM 443,000) in prize money for their runners-up finish.

Goh V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong remained the last Malaysians to win the title when they emerged champions in 2016.
