Kisona wins Dutch Open, ends three-year title drought


Women's singles shuttler S. Kisona captured the Dutch Open title on Sunday (Oct 27) to end her three-year title drought.

PETALING JAYA: Women's singles shuttler S. Kisona ended a three-year title drought by capturing the Dutch Open title.

The independent player beat Azerbaijan's Keisha Fatimah 21-14, 21-16 in the final in the Netherlands on Sunday (Oct 27) to win her first title since the Spain International in 2021.

It was also Kisona's first title since she left the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) at the end of 2022.

The 26-year-old is the first Malaysian so far in the women's singles to win a senior international title this year.
