Shuttlers Aaron-Khai Xing book a spot in Asian Junior Championships final


PETALING JAYA: National boys' doubles shuttlers Aaron Tai-Kang Khai Xing are one win away from winning the Asian Junior Championships in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

Aaron-Khai Xing booked their spot in the final after defeating Taiwan’s Chen Hung-ming-Tsai Cheng-han 21-15, 21-10 in the semi-final at the Among Rogo Sports Hall on Saturday (July 6).

The top seeds will face fifth seeds Hu Keyuan-Lin Xiangyi of China, whom they have beaten twice before, in the final on Sunday (July 7).

Meanwhile, girls' singles player Siti Zulaikha Azmi ended her run in the semi-finals after losing 15-21, 17-21 to China’s Xu Wenjing.

Ong Xin Yee-Carmen Ting also fell in the girls' doubles semi-finals, losing 21-17, 15-21, 21-23 to China’s Chen Fanshutian-Liu Jiayue.
