Roslin faces defamation suit from BAM officials

PETALING JAYA: Roslin Hashim has confirmed that he will face a defamation suit from Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) officials on Tuesday (Sept 2).

It is learnt that BAM secretary-general Datuk Kenny Goh and development committee chairman Datuk Ng Chin Chai are the officials suing Roslin for his social media comments.

“Yes. The defamation hearing will begin on Tuesday (Sept 5) and I will go through it,” said Roslin.

Roslin confirmed that the law suit was not initiated by the BAM but by the alleged officials themselves.

Roslin also confirmed that the attempt through his lawyer for an out-of-court settlement did not materialise.

The former international is currently part of the technical advisory panel (TAP) initiated by the BAM earlier this year.
