IT WAS mixed feelings for national mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei after exiting the Malaysian Open at the quarter-final stage yesterday.

Tang Jie-Ee Wei, who were competing in their first World Tour Super 1000 event together after being paired up in November, gave a good account of themselves in the opening game before going down to Thailand’s 2021 world champions Dechapol Puavaranukroh-Sapsiree Taerattanachai 19-21, 9-21 at the Axiata Arena.
