Aaron-Wooi Yik out to preserve unbeaten record against Indonesians

Pressure cooker: Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik will not only have to contend with Indonesia’s Leo Rolly-Daniel Marthin in the second round, but also the home fans in Jakarta.

PETALING JAYA: National No. 1 men’s doubles pair Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik will be out to maintain their unbeaten record against home pair Leo Rolly-Daniel Marthin in the second round of the Indonesian Masters in Jakarta today. Aaron-Wooi Yik have yet to lose in three meetings against their 23rd ranked opponents with their latest win coming in the final of the Asian Team Championships in February.

But the world No. 6 pair have to be on their toes as all their victories so far have been in rubber games and Leo-Daniel will be full of confidence after stunning teammates and Asian champions Pramudya Kusumawardana-Yeremia Rambitan in last month’s Hanoi SEA Games final to emerge champions.
