Zii Jia faces Kunlavut of Thailand in German Open semis

PETALING JAYA: Men's singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia will face Thailand's Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the semi-finals of the German Open on Saturday (March 13).

Determined to make a mark in his first tournament as an independent player, Zii Jia gave a good show to beat Zhao Junpeng of China in only their first meeting with a 21-12, 21-18 win in the quarter-finals at Mulheim on Friday.
